Experience
Carole Robin is a senior organization consultant and executive
coach who has been helping people and organizations thrive for
over 25 years. Her passionate belief is that people flourish when they experience
purpose,
potential, and meaning in their work and in their life. Her work
is anchored in solid experience, research and strong academic affiliations.
Carole's
experience as a former industrial control sales and marketing
executive provides her clients with pragmatic, solution-oriented
approaches grounded in having been there. Prior to becoming an
organization development consultant, Carole was a National Account
Manager for Honeywell's Industrial Controls Division as well
as the 13-state Western Regional Manager for a division of Gould,
Inc.
Dr.
Robin has been an organization development consultant for the
last 13 years, working with a wide range of business, government,
and nonprofit clients and specializing in leadership development,
executive coaching, strategic visioning, team building, and facilitation.
She has consulted to organizations and their leaders as they
have grown, moved through various stages of development, and/or
changed as a result of external forces. She is an experienced
facilitator in whole system change and numerous organizational
improvement and decision-making processes.
As a
lecturer in the Organization Behavior Department at the Stanford
University Graduate School of Business, Dr. Robin teaches the
acclaimed Interpersonal Dynamics (a course in interpersonal
communications and group process). She has also been a Guest
Lecturer at MIT's Sloan School of Business and is a member of
NTL. Maintaining these strong academic affiliations enrich her
consulting work and benefit her clients.
Carole
has conducted research in work motivation and satisfaction as
well as meaningful work. She is the creator of the Meaning Mapping Process,
which includes a concrete model that helps people clarify the
circumstances under which they experience their work as especially
meaningful and provides a platform from which action can be taken.
Carole is also the co-developer of a professional men's program
exploring meaning, renewal and wisdom.
Background
and Education
Carole has a Ph.D. in Human and Organization Systems and a Masters
Degree in Organization Development. She was raised in Mexico City, Mexico
and speaks fluent Spanish. She is the recipient of two Congressional Awards
for Community Service and resides in Palo Alto, California with her husband
and two children.
