Peller
Marion specializes in executive career management, executive
development coaching and organizational development. Dr.
Marion has more than 25 years of experience in organizational
behavior, including extensive experience with Fortune 500, small and
mid size companies. Her
corporate clients include Becton Dickinson, Varian Medical
Equipment, Genentech, California Biotechnology, Apple Computer,
Autodesk, Intel, Fireman’s Fund, Bank of America, Eastman Kodak,
Ford Motor Company, Lotus, Metropolitan Life, The New York Times,
Pacific Gas and Electric, and United States Steel.
Human Resource Experience
Considered
a pioneer in the field of transition and career management, Dr.
Marion was one of the first to introduce outplacement to the San
Francisco Bay Area in the late 1970s.
Prior to forming Peller Marion Associates, Inc. in 1986, Dr.
Marion was vice president of Drake Beam Morin, Inc., an
international human resource management consulting company that
specializes in career transitions.
Dr. Marion has also held positions as a Senior Organization
Development Specialist with Signetics Corporation, Joseph Magnin/Gucci
Retailers, and Associate Professor the Lesley Graduate School of
Education in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
Background, Education, and Outstanding Achievements
Dr.
Marion earned her bachelor's degree at Skidmore College, her
master's
degree at University of Washington, and her doctorate degree at
University of
Massachusetts. She is on the faculty of Dominican College MBA
Strategic Leadership.
Dr.
Marion has been on CNN, CBS and Delta Airlines Audio Tapes in Flight
Business News. She
has been written about in USA Today, Wall Street Journal, Fortune
Magazine and The Chicago Tribune.
She writes for several Bay Area professional journals and
publishes the quarterly Corporate Transitions Newsletter, a publication
for business people on trends and issues in career management today.
She
has spoken and led workshops at corporations and professional societies
about creative approaches to career transitions and mid-career/mid-life
issues. She has written
a book titled: Crisis Proof Your Career.
It is published by Birch Lane Press, New
York, in August,
1993. This book has been selected for the Fortune Magazine Book
Selection Of The Month Club. Her Forthcoming book is Living By
Your Own Agenda: Stages and Stories of Successful
Entrepreneurs.
